Terms of Use
This page outlines the rules that apply when you use the FCInet.org website and where you can go if you have a complaint.
Applicability
Article 1.
These terms of use apply to participants and/or users of the website(s) of FCInet.org. By using the website you indicate that you agree with these terms and conditions.
Article 2.
These Terms of Use apply as:
- You visit the website
- You post your reviews, complaints, reactions, messages, notifications, questions or other contributions on the website. This includes at least the following website:
- FCInet.org
Registration
Article 3.
When registering as a member of FCInet you will receive an email with instructions on how you can request a strictly personal login name and password for access. You must carefully keep your login details and keep them secret. You may not distribute this information or share it with others.
Article 4.
For some parts of our website, you cannot place a substantive contribution on the website.
Article 5.
If you suspect that your log-in details, as referred to in Article 3, are or may be known to an unauthorized third party, you must notify us as soon as possible. This can be done in the following ways:

Code of conduct
Article 6.
On the website you only share information related to FCInet; this website is not intended to post case-related information.
Article 7.
You may only use the website for non-commercial purposes. A contribution from a participant only reflects the opinion of this participant and is not necessarily the opinion of FCInet.
Article 8.
The FCInet secretariat manages the website. We can check participants' contributions for compliance with these Terms of Use. We check, depending on the content of the contribution:
- Prior to placement, draft version
- Sample by post after placement
- Afterwards on the basis of complaints (see Articles 12 and 17)
Article 9.
You may not engage in or instigate criminal or unlawful activities on the website. The following is also not permitted:
- discriminatory or offensive comments;
- improper use of language;
- mentioning privacy-sensitive data that can be traced to an individual person;
- inappropriate or annoying behavior towards other users;
- behavior that hinders the undisturbed experience of other users;
- posing as a different person;
- placing commercial messages;
- unlawful acts under Dutch law or incitement thereto.
Article 10.
You may not post texts on the website (s) that have been copied from other sources, such as websites, newspapers, magazines and books. You may mention the source itself, possibly with a link to (exclusively) the front page of the website in question. You can also post a concise quote from your source.
Article 11.
The FCInet secretariat reserves the right to edit or remove contributions that are (presumably) contrary to the letter or spirit of these terms. We can exclude participants who violate these Terms of Use from further use of the website(s).
Article 12.
The FCInet secretariat offers possibilities to lodge an online objection against participants or texts posted on the website via the online contact form.
Reuse Contributions
Article 13.
By using the websites, you give us permission to use your contribution in our statements or publications, with the exception of statements or publications for promotional purposes.
Article 14.
You may not copy, edit or publish contributions from the website (articles/documents/photos or videos). You may not publish summaries or overviews of contributions to the websites without our prior permission. That is also not allowed by means of frames and/or hyperlinks.
Liability
Article 15.
You are liable for all consequences of your activities on the website and for unauthorized use, misuse or incorrect use of your login details.
Article 16.
The FCInet Secretariat is not liable for any (temporary) inability to use and/or read the website.
Complaints
Article 17.
Complaints can be made electronically via the response form on our website. Describe and substantiate your complaint, preferably with a copy of the contribution and mentioning the web address or URL from the address bar of your browser. Don't forget to mention your contact information.
Article 18.
The web editors will process your complaint as quickly as possible. You will receive a reply as soon as possible, but in any case within 30 days. If you disagree with the handling of your complaint, you can submit your objection in writing and with reasons to the FCInet secretariat within 30 days of settlement (address: HSD, Wilhelmina van Pruisenweg 104, 2595 AN The Hague).
The Secretariat will inform you within 30 days of receiving your objection whether, and if so, how we will respond to your objection.
Article 19.
The way in which we handle the personal data you provide is laid down in our Privacy Statement and our Cookie Policy.
Article 20.
Unless explicitly agreed otherwise, all agreements to which these Terms of Use apply are governed by Dutch law.
Amendments
Article 21.
The FCInet Secretariat has the right to make changes to these Terms of Use.
